I DONT WANT 2 USE RTM bcuz it slows down my laptop to the core

Quick question: I have 2 computers, 1 is Win XP, SP3 & the other is Vista Basic(I know-it came with the Dell Vostro I got refurbed). Anyway, both are 32-bit OS. I want to upgrade to the 64-bit and have Win 7 32 & 64-bit CDs thanx to the $29.00 offer MICKEY-SOFT has given students.
How do I go to 64-bit with some “instruction” from you or some other site you “may” have knowledged of.

I just had a new computer with Win7.
I tried to upgrate to the Pro version but when i change the “edition Id” and the “product Name”; Then i restart but it’s still the premium version
What procedure should i follow just before to restart my PC?
