The purpose of this video is to show an e-mail security flaw using telnet that allows hackers to send e-mails using anyone’s e-mail address. Thankfully, many major e-mail providers have software that blocks this. My intention is to make people aware of this flaw so that other e-mail providers can protect themselves as well. An example program for protection can be found at http://www.zsty.com/email.

it isn’t a flaw, it’s jus the smtp server prosessing the mail.
you can even configer outlook to use a different mail for sending.
    doesn’t work for receiving 😉

Hi! i’ve tried to send myself an e-mail with a fake address to see if i could pull it off: i couldn’t. I got to the part where i had to type “MAIL FROM: …” to which the screen responded “500 Send hello first”. I don’t know what’s up with that, it kept saying that to whatever I typed. I actually tried typing “hello”, and of course, it didn’t recognize the command. (At this point you’ve probably noticed that i have no idea what i’m doing). Anyway, if you could help me, thanks
