This video will show you some free programs to use for converting DVD’s to play on iPod’s or other portable media devices. You can find the links to the software used in the video below:

DVD Fab (free) -http://www.dvdfab.com/free.htm

Handbrake (free) – http://handbrake.fr/?article=download

iTunes (free) – http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

FOR MAC USERS: As I do not have a Mac, I cannot test this method, but a free program to remove dvd encryption is MacTheRipper. Once it has ripped the DVD to your computer, you can then use Handbrake to convert it as shown in the video.

Thanks a lot for giving everyone remarkably special opportunity to check tips from here. It is often so nice plus full of a great time for me and my office peers to visit the blog not less than three times weekly to read the new things you have. And lastly, I’m also certainly fascinated for the great techniques you serve. Selected 1 ideas in this posting are undoubtedly the very best I have had.

Personally I prefer DVD Decrypter which is a free program for ripping DVD’s. Actually it was shut down some years ago but there are mirrors from which it is still available. Here is one mirror:

I also prefer AVS Video Converter 6 which can be found at:

They have a free version that may be limited I don’t remember because I paid for the premium versions of all their programs. You just pay one low price and you can get all their very useful programs for video, music, system utilities and all kinds of stuff.
